What we collect

Only what you type into the report form: the reported phone number (required), and optionally a name/alias, scam type, incident date, and free-text notes. That content is published publicly and permanently as part of the case file the moment you submit it.

Searching and browsing collect nothing: there are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no analytics or tracking scripts anywhere on this site.

What we deliberately do not collect

Reports are anonymous by design. The database schema has no reporter-identity fields: no name, no email, no account ID, and no IP address is stored with a report. Nothing connects a published report back to the person who filed it.

Because notes are public, don't include your own name, location, or contact details in them — the form warns about this too.

Infrastructure

The site runs on Cloudflare (Workers and the D1 database). Like any website, Cloudflare processes standard request metadata (such as IP addresses) transiently to serve and protect the service; that operational data is not written to our database and is not linked to reports.

The report form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated submissions. Turnstile is a privacy-preserving alternative to CAPTCHAs and is subject to Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which involves your browser requesting font files from Google servers.

The browser extension

The WhatsApp Web extension reads the open chat locally, in your browser, to show the lookup badge and to prefill a report. Two things ever leave your browser, both to scammercasefile.com only: (1) the chat's phone number, when the badge looks it up; (2) the report form's contents, only when you explicitly click Submit. It contacts no other servers, injects no analytics, and never reads chats in the background beyond the one you have open.

Public data and reuse

Published reports are part of a public, machine-readable dataset (also served to search engines and AI systems via our API, Markdown pages, and MCP server). Aggregate statistics are licensed CC BY 4.0. Every surface carries the same caveat: reports are self-submitted and unverified.

Corrections and removal

If a report contains your personal information (for example, a reporter accidentally included their own details in the notes) or you believe an entry about your number is abusive, open an issue on our GitHub repository (github.com/sky-flux/scammercasefile) with the case file URL and we will review it.
