Lost money to a scam? Contact these instead of us

This site can't recover funds or investigate — official agencies can. Call your bank or payment provider's fraud line first (the first 24-48 hours matter most), then file with your national reporting service: in the US, the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov and the FBI at ic3.gov. Those channels feed real enforcement: the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center received 1,008,597 complaints covering $20.9 billion in reported losses in 2025 (2025 Internet Crime Report).
